Greeting from Chair

Dear pastors, sisters and brothers in Christ

Shalom. Everyone’s definition about the term “youth” varies. The definition of the word “youth” from the society and the church differs as well. So, what does the term “youth” mean? What ability do youths have? What role do youths play? These are the questions that we have been thinking about.

What is “youth”
According to the age, PCT divided the youths into two groups: students (teenager fellowship, youth fellowship, higher education) and social youths. As time goes by, youth groups of different phases have various life styles and are in need of different guidance and care to make the relationships closer. Those youths need fellowships to have a solid faith foundation and a chance to grow in spiritual aspect.

The role of the youths in church
Youths are thought to be young, energetic and effective. Those traits, without doubts, are the images youths; but is that all we can say about youths? Definitely not. Nowadays youths are willing to spend time empowering themselves and share their own experiences with the church. They are willing to dedicate themselves in various ministries, to fulfill the gospel missions, and to improve the management system. Those youths can manage to do all the tasks above, because they have the courage to step out of their churches to learn, and then come back to serve and become a blessing for the church.

Youths need to learn to have visions and dreams
Only through the path of truth can we live in the love and freedom of Christ; and only through getting close to God can we understand His will and make the Lord’s kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I expect that the PCT Youth learn to see the vision from the Lord, and dream what the Lord want us to dream.
“I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,” Psalm 16:8-9

Reflect and renew our spiritual lives. We no longer live, but Christ lives in us.
